Mark S. Benak
Mark S. Benak is a venture executive, angel investor, and strategic advisor with a track record of building and exiting technology businesses. He has successfully founded and exited three technology companies, most recently completing the sale of an industrial software and services (SaaS) company to an industrial AI unicorn with significant shareholder returns.
A Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative fellow, Mark combines rigorous analytical thinking with hands-on operational experience across enterprise SaaS, industrial AI, non-invasive biomedical devices, and equipment reliability markets.
Mark is an active angel investor with exceptional returns across a portfolio of early-stage technology companies. He brings the same disciplined due diligence and market insight to client investment evaluations that he applies to his own capital.
Beyond his advisory work, Mark currently serves as Chairman of the Sandia Foundation, supporting higher education scholarships and children’s wellbeing in New Mexico. He also serves as Vice Chair and incoming Chair of the National Atomic Museum Foundation (NAMF), where he leads the Trusteeship Committee.
Mark is also a recognized expert in industrial AI markets, working with leading expert networks including Guidepoint, GLG, AlphaSights, and Third Bridge to help investors and analysts understand market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.
